One Step Forward, 50 Steps Back: On Race, and The University of Virginia’s Future Identity

I shared my thoughts on UVa's new athletic's branding collaboration with Nike. As an African American alum, I was disturbed and concerned with the creative reference of the University's main logo. I laid out my point of view in the piece, which did in fact make its way to Nike and led to the logo's revision.
